Friday, 7th: Foodies of Marion County, 6 p.m., Call 843-250-4322 for details!
                                       
Saturday, 8th: 8:30 a.m., Walk for Awareness. To raise awareness about Domestic Violence &Breast Cancer, the Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault will host an Awareness Walk.  Register at the Marion County Administration Building, 1305 N. Main St. at 8:30 a.m.
The walk will begin at 9 a.m. and end at the Marion County Courthouse In the event of bad weather, the walk will be in the Marion High School Gym … For information, call Laura Mooneyham at 843-423-6568.*Please note: this is a walk to raise awareness of Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer;
This is not a fund raiser.*

Sunday, 9th: 3 p.m., Pee Dee Chapter SC Genealogical Society. Visitors are welcome! Call 843-431-5024, the Marion County Archives & History Center, Monday-Thursday, for more information.

Saturday, 15th: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., “Marion County Youth Day,” sponsored by the City of Marion, the Town of Nichols and the Rev. Marvin Hemingway: numerous activities. Free hot dogs, talent contests, door prizes and more!  For details, call Hemingway at 843-423-7117.

Saturday, 15th: 10 a.m.-2p.m., The Compassionate Friends of the Sandhills Region second annual Walk to Remember,  Withlacoochee Park. This walk is a symbolic way to show love while mourning the loss of children. For information, call 843-206-8981.

Wednesday through Saturday, 19th – 22nd:  10,000 Villages Festival Sale, handmade ‘fair trade’ products from around the  world, Marion Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Times are Wednesday & Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Main Street.

Thursday, 20th:  HMRA’s Lunch & Learn. $5 for the lunch; Mayor Rodney Berry will be giving a State of the City talk, Marion Opera House, noon; only 90 seats available.

Saturday, 22nd: Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce will have its Fall Fest Bog-Off from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Smith-Haven Park, Mullins. Fun for everyone! For $5, ticket holders can enjoy tasting varieties of our Southern Tradition “Chicken Bog.”  Want to compete? Be a sponsor? Buy tickets? Call Cindy at 843-464-6651.

Thursday, 27th: Fall Walk for children along Main Street to retrieve Halloween goodies!

Friday, 28th: The ARTS COUNCIL of Marion County has a FILM CLUB (meets the LAST FRIDAY OF each month).   Come join the fun! Call Brian Nolan, 843-250-4322 for details.

Monday, 31st: Trick or Treating! 6-8 p.m. throughout Marion County! Happy Halloween!
