February 4th: A Novel Event 2012



Forget Halloween -- A Novel Event is Florence ’s premiere night of costumes and high jinks. Pick a literary character, don your costume and enter a zany world where anything goes! Mark your calendars for February 4th – the fun begins at 6:30 p.m. Come share hors d’oeuvres with Alice in Wonderland, have cocktails with David Copperfield, gnosh on sweets with Willie Wonka or break it down with Frankenstein on the dance floor. You never know who in the literary world you’ll meet!

This event is an annual fund-raiser for the Florence Literacy Council. Proceeds support the important work of this agency, positively impacting the lives of area adults functioning at a low level of literacy. Your ticket purchase helps improve the community by enabling clients of the Literacy Council to become independent, productive citizens.

The time to secure your tickets for this popular annual event, in which guests dress as their favorite literary characters, is now.

there will be a DJ spinning tunes and plenty of dancing. An open bar and silent auction filled with unique items will complement the festivities. 

Prizes will be awarded for the most creative tablescapes and costumes.
