Julian Young, founder and artistic director of The Florence Men’s Choral Society, invites males ages 16 and up to audition for their Spring 2012 concert season on Thursday, January 12 at 5:30 p.m. or Tuesday, January 17 at 7:00 p.m. Both auditions will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in the Parish Hall. The church is located at 1425 Cherokee Road in Florence. There is no need to have anything prepared for the audition unless you choose. Everyone will be auditioned for vocal range, diction, clarity, and tonality. The ability to complete simple sight reading is desirable.
Mr. Young is looking to add more voices in preparation for their regular spring performance and a May Pops performance with the Florence Symphony Orchestra in the FMU Performing Arts Center. Regular weekly rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in the Parish Hall with the first rehearsal of 2012 beginning on January 19.
