March 24th: Blues Duo to be honored in Darlington

On March 24th, a celebration remembering the historical musical legacy of Buddy & Ella Johnson will be held at the Cultural Realism Vision Center in Darlington.  The event will take place from 9am to 9pm.  

This event in the artists' hometown is being held in advance of their induction into the Blues Hall of Fame in May 2012.

    and the Cultural Realism Vision Center for bringing these two outstanding historic individuals to light in the community in which they called home. Darlington, South Carolina!

    I've known for years that Mrs. Johnson was trying to generate interest in recording artists, Buddy and Ella Johnson, and there musical accomplishments!

    Because of Mrs. Johnson's love for there music and the desire to enlighten others, I have enjoyed "goggling" and "listening" to the sounds of this brother/sister duo!

    I look forward to Mrs. Johnson, making her ultimate dream coming true of having a Museum featuring the artistic works, sounds and beauty of Buddy Johnson and Ella Johnson - Our True Musical Legacy!
