April 20th: The Florence-Darlington String Association to present Magic Fiddles in Florence


The Florence-Darlington String Association will present Magic Fiddles this year with 90 students and local professionals will play music from  movie music, to Swedish fiddle music, to Mendelssohn with students who range in age from four to eighteen.  The concert will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, April 20th at First Assembly of God Church at 2925 W. Palmetto Street in Florence.  Donations will be accepted at the door or you may send them to: Treasurer Mrs. Tiffany Saunders at 1901 Kensington St, Florence, SC 29505.

The Florence-Darlington String Association is non-profit, and is funded by donations from the Florence community and organizations such as the Women’s Symphony Guild to provide scholarships for summer music study at camps.  The conductor for this year's concert is Dr. Benjamin Woods, former conductor of the Florence Symphony.
