Florence County Library System Set to Read to Ride

In an effort to promote both early and family literacy, the Florence County Library System is sponsoring a “Read to Ride” contest. The event, which is sponsored by Toys for Tots, Marine Corps League, and the Friends of Florence County Library System (all branches), is intended to encourage children and families to utilize their public libraries.

Children from ages 3-17,who are Florence County residents, may visit any of the six libraries or the bookmobile and use their library card to check out materials, can register for a chance to win a bicycle. “Read to Ride” runs from February 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014. Winners will be announced at a special program on April 23, 2014 at 3:30 pm at the Florence County Library.
