Regional Calendar & Artastic - Help Us Promote You

Below are instructions for entering information into the Regional Events Calendar and contact information for having your events and programs featured in Artastic!

The Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau has recently upgraded its eCalendar functionality and now is the time to get all of the arts events and programs included.  Below are the instructions for submitting an event/program for the calendar:

Go to this site:
http://www.visitflo.com/regional_calendar.html
Click Submit Event
Fill in the information for your event/program.
Click Submit Event (at the bottom of the form, not the top of the page).

It usually takes one day for events to show up on the calendar.

Gretchen Huggins is the contact for the calendar at the Florence CVB.  Her email is
gretchen.huggins@visitflo.com.  She can be reached by phone at 843.664.0330.

The VisitFlo Calendar also feeds into the calendar on the Florence Regional Arts Alliance website.  It can be found here:
http://www.florencescarts.org/calendar.

Now, for Artastic.  Ashley Hopwood (she was Ashley Waddell until a few weeks ago) is the contact for the brochure.  She collects the information and designs Artastic.  Please email her the information on your festivals, exhibitions and performances for the rest of 2011 by July 29th.  Ashley's email is ashley.waddell@visitflo.com.  (Please note that her email is Waddell and not Hopwood.)

Here are two examples of write-ups from the last brochure:

Please keep in mind that only select events will be featured in Artastic.

The eCalendar and Artastic are great ways to promote your happenings for free.  I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities.  Also, feel free to pass along this information to other community leaders who have things to post/publicize.
