The Florence Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce its 1st Annual Youth Piano Competition in Florence. Prize winners of this competition will receive the opportunity to perform their audition piece at the Florence Symphony’s March 26th concert. The competition is open to all piano students enrolled in grades 9-12 who have a home address within Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Lee, Marion, or Marlboro counties.
Those wishing to enter the competition must have their applications and a CD performance in to the Florence Symphony Orchestra by December 1, 2011. Finalists will be notified by the beginning of January and assigned a time to perform before a panel of judges on January 28th, 2012 at the FMU Performing Arts Center.
