The Sankofa Festival in Florence is a cultural explosion on July 5-7. This year marks the 12th year of the festival and the festivals theme is "Connecting the Cultural Corridor". The Sankofa festival represents a reaffirmation of our musical and cultural traditions for the cohesion of our people.
Thursday will feature a dance production by Justine Roberts Performing Arts Academy at FDTC's Auditorium at 7:30pm.
Friday will feature a cabaret style event featuring jazz artisit Karrin and a R&B performance by The Finesse Band. These performances will take place at the SiMT Building at 7:30pm.
Saturday will have a free festival at Timrod Park from 2-9pm.
