Ceramic Artist Patz Fowle Just Keeps Winning Awards


Darlington County ceramic artist Patz Fowle has been in the news alot lately.  She's winning awards at seemingly every show she enters.  Below is a list of a few of her recent accomplishments:

  • First Place Award at the Sumter Artists' Guild annual competition/exhibition at Sumter County Gallery of Art
  • First Place Award at Pee Dee Regional Art Competition at the Florence Museum (collaborative piece with her husband, Mike)
  • Professional Merit Award in the Fine Arts Division of the South Carolina State Fair
  • One of the 20 international ceramic artists/potters awarded the opportunity to exhibit in the upcoming Potters Council Exhibition “Green,” which showcases the world's best ceramic works during the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference (Houston). 
Patz also has two ceramic sculptures touring the Palmetto State through April 2013 through the South Carolina State Museum Traveling Exhibition Program. One of those pieces received the South Carolina Palmetto Hands 2012 Outstanding Merit Award from the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department.
