The Dillon County Historical Society is sponsoring an Open House at the Historical J. W. Dillon House Museum located at 1108 West Main Street on Saturday, December 1 from 10am-5pm and on Sunday, December 2 from 2-5pm. Admission is free.
The J. W. Dillon House was built in 1890. It was moved to its present location and restored to its original beauty after a fire which destroyed most of the home. It is authentic of the era to which it belongs. The Dillon House was the first of its period (1890) to be restored in South Carolina. It is a fitting historical landmark to those who have contributed to the development of the Pee Dee area of South Carolina and especially to Mr. J. W. Dillon our Founder.
The home will be decorated for the Christmas season and there will be light refreshments served during the open house.
