March 28th: Glenis Redmond at the FMU PAC

Glenis Redmond will be performing at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center in downtown Florence on March 28th.  Show time is 7:30pm.  Tickets are $18.

Glenis Redmond's love of words has carried her across the country for almost 20 years, as a performance poet and teacher whose mission is to bring poetry to the masses. Though steeped in Afro-Carolinian roots, Glenis speaks in a universal language of love, celebration, sorrow, loss and always...hope. Her verse and stage or classroom delivery uplift all kinds of families, cultures, and communities. At widely diverse venues across the country ranging from universities, festivals, conferences, prisons, theaters and libraries to performing arts centers and K-12 schools, Glenis is a gentle teacher as she brings the "page to the stage," encouraging others to find their voice. Her poems and delivery can alternately soothe or move listeners to action and often evoke a deep, very personal response from her audiences, young and old, as they pick up pens to travel their own poetic roads.

The FMU PAC is located at 201 South Dargan Street in downtown Florence.
