Colonel Barry Wingard will discuss the significance of Veteran’s Day; give a brief history of how our nation began to celebrate the holiday and some thoughts about the men and women who have served in our armed forces.
The local activities on Veteran’s Day will be discussed as well as the various sites committed to veterans in the Pee Dee. Colonel Wingard is a retired Colonel in the US Army.
For the “Live @ Central” evening, the Program begins at 6:30 on November 13th. There is a dinner at 5:30pm. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children. Central United Methodist Church is located at 265 West Cheves Street in downtown Florence.
