February 10th: Florence Symphony Orchestra's Winter Concert at the FMU PAC

Music Director Dr. Terry Roberts and the Florence Symphony Orchestra will be performing their Winter Concert on Monday, February 10, 2014 in the FMU Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM. It will be another phenomenal concert featuring not only a very talented Florence Orchestra, but also rising young star Jennifer Brown on the Clarinet. You won't want to miss this concert!

The evening will begin with J.S. Bach's Brandenburg concerto no. 3. This concerto has three violins, three violas, three cellos and continuo (bass and harpsichord) and each instrument is considered a soloist with a separate part. It will be an exciting piece because we will feature members of our orchestra as soloists for each part.

Then guest soloist Jennifer Brown, also the Symphony’s 1st Clarinetist, will perform and explore the jazz side of the clarinet on Aaron Copland's Concerto for Clarinet.

Last, but not least by any means the Florence Symphony will perform P.I. Tchaikovsky's brilliant, almost autobiographical, Symphony no. 6 in B minor, op. 74, Pathetique.

It will be another unforgettable evening of music! So order your tickets NOW! Prime seating is going quickly! Tickets start at $29 for adults with senior and student discounts available.
