Through May 30th: Suzy Spencer at the Burr Gallery in Cheraw

The Cheraw Arts Commission will present an exhibit by Suzy Spencer at the Burr Gallery through May 30th.

Suzy's interest in art was evident at an early age when creating artwork of her brother. As an adult, Suzy shared a love of art with her students as a special needs educator. A newcomer to the area, Suzy moved to Cheraw in September 2013 from Shepardstown, West Virginia where she was an active member of the "Friday Painters" of Shepardstown.

The May exhibit will feature earlier works of portraits, drawings, batiks and more. Recently, Suzy has been busy creating watercolor paintings that have been inspired by the beauty of local flora in Cheraw. The exhibit will be displayed throughout May at the Cheraw Community Center- 200 Powe Street. Burr Gallery hours are 8:30am-5:00pm - Monday-Friday.
