Join the Lake City Junior Sorosis Club for a delightful afternoon to celebrate spring at the annual Daffodil Festival on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Moore Farms Botanical Garden from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Experience true Southern hospitality as you stroll the grounds and garden of exquisite "living art."
Thousands upon thousands of plant species, both familiar and exotic, sculpture, and unique structures contribute to the various artistic designs of the garden. It is often called a "diverse wonderland." The garden is a place of both inspiration and comfort where "plants rule."
The state-of-the-art facilities allow for horticultural research, educational classes, projects, and programs that contribute to the beauty of the gardens as well as to many areas in South Carolina. Moore Farms Botanical Garden is a "treasure trove of gardening wisdom."
The Daffodil Festival is a time to give back to the community and showcase Lake City at its best. Stroll the grounds and garden at your leisure or you can choose to join a guided tour. Enjoy an array of hors d'oeuvres and wine while listening to the fabulous music of "Hercules Farm."
All proceeds benefit Meals On Wheels and numerous other charities. Tickets are $25.00 each and can be purchased at the Greater Lake City Chamber of Commerce by phone at (843) 374-8611 or Main Street Mercantile - (843) 374-2333. You may also call (843) 374-2261 for more information.
