Florence One will begin its search for the best vocalist in the district through a district wide competition for students in grades 4-12 called “District One’s Vocal Star”.
The event will be held at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 13 at 6:00 PM. The March 13th competition is a ticketed event. Ticket sales will begin at the Francis Marion Performing Arts Center Box Office in February.

District One’s Vocal Star competition will give a cash prize of $500 plus recording studio opportunities. Monetary prizes for 2nd and 3rd place will be $100 and $50. Awards will also be given for special division winners plus an award for singer/songwriters.
Applicants must be enrolled in good standing at a Florence School District One School to be eligible for all awards.
