Coker College to host Camp Aladdin in July


Camp "Aladdin," geared for campers ages 12-15, will be held at Coker College, Hartsville, SC, Monday-Friday, July 7-18, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Camp registration fee is $100.

Campers will present a fully-staged production of "Aladdin, Kids," on Thursday, July 17, 2014, and Friday, July 18, 2014, at 7:30 PM in the Watson Theater, Coker College.  Admission to the shows is $5.00 (adults); $2.00 students/children/senior citizens.

Registration fee must be paid in full no later than July 14, 2014 for Camp "Aladdin."

Disney's 'Aladdin, Jr.' is coming to FLT!


The Florence Little Theatre Children's Workshop will present a production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr.. This production will be directed by Lisa Sims and is underwritten by Chick-fil-A.

This year we will offer four performances: Friday, May 16 at 7:30pm; Saturday, May 17 at 3:00pm and 7:30pm and Sunday, May 18 at 3:00pm. Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where we're about to begin the fantastic tale of the street rat who became a prince! All of your favorite characters from the hit Disney film - Aladdin, Jasmine, Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more - are here in Disney's ALADDIN JR, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides

The Children's Workshop has been very busy this year with an enrollment of over seventy students. The Workshop has had a great year with some truly talented students. You will be thoroughly entertained with this production, so plan to come and bring your children and grandchildren to Disney’s Aladdin Jr.

Reservations for Disney’s Aladdin Jr. will not be taken. Tickets will be sold one hour prior to show time. Ticket prices are $5.00 per person. The Theatre is located at 417 S. Dargan Street.

The King's Academy to present production of Disney's Aladdin



The King’s Academy’s production of Disney’s Aladdin will take place on Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th in the school’s Fine Arts and Athletic Facility.
The production is based on the screenplay written by Ron Clements, John Musker, Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio and follows a lowly street urchin named Aladdin as he finds himself falling in love with Princess Jasmine, and into a lot of trouble.
 In one of his many mishaps, Aladdin lands in a cave, only to be rescued by a comical Genie and flown to freedom on his magic carpet.
This musical includes favorite characters and all of the beloved songs from the movie including “Arabian Nights”, “A Friend Like Me”, and “A Whole New World” written, adapted and arranged by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, Tim Rice, Jim Luigs and Bryan Louiselle.
Love will prevail and happiness resumes in this classic Disney adaptation that is suitable for children of all ages.
Curtains open at 8:00 pm both nights and tickets may be purchased at the door for a cost of $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for non-TKA students.
TKA currently holds 22 Best Overall, 9 - 2nd Best Overall and over 100 individual awards in drama and speech from the SCISA State Literary Meet and Drama Competitions.
