Nonprofit Networking for the Pee Dee   sponsored by          A strong nonprofit sector is vital to advance the general welfare and quality of life  in the Pee Dee.   To help nonprofit leaders perform effectively, the Foundation will  present a series of workshops, presentations and webinars that offer management practices and principles to build capacity and provide a resource for networking  and sharing best practices. All events are free thanks to sponsorship by Wells Fargo.  The series is presented in cooperation with    Doctors Bruce and Lee Library in Florence and SCANPO. A collection of charitable funds with a focus on a particular geographic area.  For us,  it's the Pee Dee.  We make it easy and effective to provide support to the organizations and causes that people in the Pee Dee care about. We use the same powerful techniques as the world's largest foundations: Set aside assets. Invest them carefully. Distribute their earnings regularly to worthy charitable causes. Local giving has lasting value.  For more information,  please call Sarah Shelley at 843-667-1131.  Women in Philanthropy awards 10 grants On October 4,  Women in Philahthropy awarded 10 grants to nonprofits throughout the Pee Dee.  The lucky recipients are Mercy Medicine in Florence, The Naomi Project in Florence, Mercy in Me Free Clinic in Cheraw, Boys and Girls Club of the Pee Dee, Darlington County's Free Medical Clinic, Vital Aging of Williamsburg County, Harvest Hope Food Bank,  House of Hope of the Pee Dee, Lighthouse Ministries and Darlington County's Council on Aging.
