Gleason, Page & Starr join the Artisans of the SC Cotton Trail

(New ASCCT Member Jim Gleason)

The Artisans of the South Carolina Cotton Trail recently announced the induction of three new members:  Jim Gleason, Ann Page and Christopher Starr.

ASCCT members go through a two-part jury process before being asked to join the regional guild.  Artists who live, work or create in Chesterfield, Darlington, Florence, Lee and Marlboro Counties are eligible for membership, as well as artists who create cotton-themed work.

With the addition of Gleason, Page and Starr, the group is now up to nearly 40 artists.

ASCCT's newest members will have two opportunities to show their work immediately.  ASCCT has an exhibit opening at the Art Trail Gallery in Florence on August 30th.  An opening reception will be held from 5:30-7:30pm.  Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend.  The Art Trail Gallery is located at 135 South Dargan Street in Florence.

In addition to the Art Trail exhibit, ASCCT will be having a show at the Aiken Center for the Arts in October.
