The Greater Lake City Artists’ Guild will be hosting their second open studio workshop on November 13, 2012 from 5:30-8:00 at the Artfields Office. The office is located at 110 E. Main Street, Lake City.
It is a watercolor workshop taught by Jackie Wukela. She will be discussing color–make-up, mixing, and why we care about the colors we are using. Students will use two shades of blue and red, plus one of yellow to mix a variety of colors and see how those colors give us different mixtures and shades. They will also learn how to adjust colors as they mix to suit their needs. During the second half of the period, students will use the color knowledge that they have gained to select three colors to mix all the colors they need for a full painting.
