February 19: Lake City Concert Series featuring Stefan Engels
This concert is in honor of the 30 anniversary of the Lake City Concert Series and the Tracker Organ at Lake City Presbyterian Church.
Stefan Engels received his broad musical education in Germany and the United States. He studied organ, piano, harpsichord, choral conducting and church music at the Universities in Aachen, Düsseldorf, and Cologne. He is Professor of Organ at the University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig, Germany.

October 30: Lake City Concert Series Amernet String Quartet
The Amernet String Quartet has garnered worldwide praise and recognition as one of today’s exceptional string quartets. Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University in Miami since 2004, the group was formed in 1991 while its founding members were students at the Juilliard School. Come and join us in the botanical gardens beginning at 5:30 as the fall foliage is on display. Wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

September 11: Lake City Concert Series featuring Elisabeth Slaten, Vocalist

Elisabeth Slaten, acclaimed singing actress, recently made her debut in Atlanta with the Capitol City Opera Company as Musetta in Puccini's La bohéme. In 2012, Miss Slaten received her master's degree in vocal performance and pedagogy from Peabody Conservatory. She is continuing her education under Frederick Burchinal at the University of Gerorgia.

September 25th: Don't Miss the Fall Fashion Fling in Lake City
Tickets are $20 each (prior to the event), then $25 at the door and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, vendor shopping and a fashion show.
Proceeds go to local nonprofits, such as, Lake City Concert Series, Lake City Community Theatre, The St. Philip Outreach Center’s Food Bank, The March of Dimes, and to fund 2 scholarships given to local students.

Upcoming Events in Lake City: Concert Series, Celebrity Roast & Holiday Market Highlight Upcoming Events
The Lake City Concert Series has been bringing quality performances to the Pee Dee since 1984 and December 1, 2011 will be no different. The Claflin University Choir will perform at the Lake City Presbyterian Church at 7:30pm on Thursday, December 1st.
There's more going on in Lake City on December 1st. Don't miss the Celebrity Roast and Holiday Market Preview at the Bean Market Museum from 6-10pm. There's something for everything at this three-day market filled with crafts, music and food. A great time to do Christmas shopping and enjoy the spirit of Christmas!
