The Florence Little Theatre will present the Palmetto First Federal Credit Union and Victor's Bistro and Garden Room production of Steel Magnolias. This production is being directed by Tippi Harwell and Darby Holley.
In Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done, we meet six outstanding women who are eager, outspoken, wisecracking, eccentric, and loving. Steel Magnolias is filled with hilarious banter and humorously revealing verbal collisions. The sudden realization of their mortality affects the women, but also draws on the underlying strength—and love—which give the play, and its characters, the special quality to make them truly touching, funny and good-natured company in good times and bad.
The Florence Little Theatre is located at 417 S. Dargan Street. Tickets go on sale Underwriters, Benefactors, Patrons and Sponsors on Monday, February 25, General Membership on Tuesday, February 26 and to the general public on Wednesday, February 27.
