March 14th: Florence Symphony Youth Orchestra to perform at First Presbyterian Church

The Florence Symphony Youth Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Dr. Terry Roberts, will be performing its final concert for the 2012/2013 concert season at the First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, March 14, 2013, beginning at 7:00PM. This concert is free and open to the public. Come listen to some fantastic young artists and support our youth!

The Florence Symphony Youth Orchestra is made up of 35 talented 6th to 12th grade students from the Pee Dee Region. They perform an annual concert for 4th grade elementary school students in addition to a fall and spring public concert.

The FSYO will be performing a very entertaining program that begins with J.S. Smith's "Star Spangled Banner" followed by the "Tragic Overture" by J. Brahms/Leidig, later in the program "Kinder Symphony" Mvt. I by F.J. Haydn, and ending with the "Irish Suite" by Anderson/Wagner with many more pieces in between. If this program could quiet a hall full of fourth graders during the annual Young People's Concert you should come and be riveted as well!
