March 6: Aaron Neville Duo

Neville, the R&B star known for number one hits like “Tell It Like It Is,” and “Everybody Plays The Fool,” will be at the PAC on Friday, March 6.

Tickets for Neville’s performance start at $39. Tickets are $99 for stage-side seating.

To purchase tickets, visit the PAC website at www.fmupac.org, call the box office at (843) 661-4444, or visit the box office at 201 S. Dargan Street. Telephone and in person ticket sales are available Monday through Friday between 12-5 p.m.

Neville continues to dazzle audiences with his strolls down memory lane as well as a few new numbers. His newest album, My True Story, his first release for Blue Note Records, is a collection of classic doo-wop numbers, performed in Neville’s matchless vocal style. The album is co-produced by Blue Note President Don Was and Keith Richards.

The selections on the album include classics by such vocal-group giants as Little Anthony and the Imperials (“Tears on My Pillow”), Hank Ballard and the Midnighters (“Work With Me, Annie”), and the Drifters (“Money Honey,” “Under the Boardwalk,” and “This Magic Moment”). To Neville, though, these songs weren’t just the soundtrack to his youth, although they are that; they are the underpinnings for all of the significant music he has created across five decades.
