Red Doe Plantation, one of Florence County’s oldest
landmarks, will be featured in a presentation at the Drs. Bruce and Lee
Foundation Library on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. Speaker Agnes Willcox, Chair of the Historic
Florence Foundation, will discuss the history of the 169 year-old plantation as
well as ongoing restoration efforts.
Willcox
states, “Red Doe Plantation is one of the few remaining Florence County
historic properties that retains much of its original features. We hope that a
full renovation will be done in the foreseeable future.”
Admission
is free and open to the public and is sponsored by Friends of Florence County
