What: Critically acclaimed songwriter Dylan Sneed plays a rare hometown show in Hartsville, SC, along with Tori Sparks, an American songwriter now living in Spain.
Additional Info: Patrick Wall of The Columbia Free Times says, “Dylan Sneed’s ‘The Beautiful Noise’ is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard this year.” The single is available for digital download on iTunes, CD Baby, and other online retailers. Who: Dylan Sneed, South Carolina-based, internationally-touring Americana songwriter, has been called "a sober Townes Van Zandt" (SC Free Times) and "the best side of true Americana: music of passion and skill that can move audiences with a whisper or a roar." (Dallas Observer) Tori Sparks, an American songwriter living in Spain, is stopping through Hartsville on her latest U.S. tour. Relix says,“Here’s a singer/songwriter with the strong, eloquent vocals of Bonnie Raitt and the guitar mastery of Joni Mitchell... a bounty of subtle rock and haunting blues."

Second Saturdays Songwriters Circle at Railroad Junction - December 10th

Yonder Music and Country Fried Rock present "Second Saturdays Songwriters Circle," hosted by Railroad Junction. Florence, SC
Local independent record label, Yonder Music, and the Florence based Americana radio show, Country Fried Rock, are proud to continue their monthly singer-songwriter showcase hosted by Railroad Junction. The second installment of the series, called Second Saturdays Songwriters Circle, will take place on December 10th, 2011 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, and will reoccur every second Saturday on a monthly basis. This unique concert event is open to the general public, and admission is free.

Each event will feature three singer-songwriters who will perform their favorite original compositions, as well as share the stories behind the songs they wrote in a unique, collaborative atmosphere. Missy Jones, owner of Yonder Music, and Sloane Spencer, owner of Country Fried Rock, wanted to create a new kind of music outlet in Florence that would highlight talented songwriters and allow them to showcase their original works. Both Missy and Sloane are Railroad Junction Art Collective consigners, and wished to contribute a music based program to the cooperative’s robust menu of arts offerings.

The December Second Saturdays Songwriters Circle is scheduled for December 10th, 2011 from 4-6PM, and will feature Dylan Sneed of Hartsville, Sarah Harrelson of Hartsville, and a third performer to be announced.
